From the chemical analyzes of the grapes of plants treated with ZEI™ it is possible to see that the grapes have a higher content of total polyphenols, measured in mg/kg of grapes than grapes from untreated plants.
Another important benefit that can be associated with the use of ZEI™, concerns agronomic defence.
This is related to the use of ZEI™ which activates the PAL (Phenylalanine Ammonium Lyase) enzyme that catalyzes a series of secondary metabolic reactions which lead to the synthesis of these phenolic compounds.
It can be observed from the graph a greater absorption of green light by the leaves of the vines treated with ZEI™ compared to the leaves of the vines treated with conventional products. This result was obtained by taking the leaves subjected to various treatments from the 6th internode and subjecting them to morpho-colourimetric analysis, in order to detect the degrees of green and red. The greater absorption of green light translates into a higher chlorophyll content in the leaves treated with ZEI™ and therefore into a greater photosynthetic activity of the plant with a consequent better accumulation of photosynthetic compounds. With a single treatment, we can therefore defend and at the same time nourish the vine.
